Started using Acorns last year and have thoroughly enjoyed the ease of saving my change. Another benefit has been how easy and user friendly it has been. I would highly recommend getting started!
Ive only just reached investor status but this app makes investing so easy. I feel good about putting tiny sums away rather than great big chunks of cash probably a hold over from my piggy bank days. Keep up the great work Acorns!
Nice way to add up small savings and change. Would be nice if they added more controls to select view modify the portfolio.
You cant be wealthy until you learn how to make your money work harder than you do. Acorns is one of the simply ways I recommend people use to get started with investing. Answer a few questions and Acorns sets up a bunch of accounts covering stocks bonds etc. the best part, start with five bucks, use round ups to get the spare change out of you bank account and invest that too. Got room to automate? Acorns does that do with regular transfers your accounts starts growing almost like magic.
I really like what there doing here. Great idea for beginner investors, since it is diverse portfolios you are investing in, you wont always win, but I havent lost much money. My thoughts for now
With little investment experience I have found this to be very easy to set aside money without really having to think about it. Well done!

Some bad moments

I started to sign up but stopped when I saw the user agreement which requires binding arbitration and robs you of your rights to sue.
It wants your social security no? Which is illegal to ask in MA! And it wants access to my bank account! Not even going there! With a lot of online Fraud I hearing about, I not letting anybody or anyone near my $$$ access! I got a great financial broker I using (did my homework), but this app, wants to access your valuable information? Right!! Anybody want to buy some swamp land I got in Maine?
This new update featuring "Found Money" is creepy. I dont want to open up my investment account and be asked how I can have "brands" invest in me. This isnt a shopping app, and I hate that this new menu tab is always there. It makes me really reconsider what the hell kind of company Acorns wants to be and whether I feel comfortable investing in them. These gimmicks in hopes itll provide a quick payday is doing great damage to your own "brand".
Its a great app which teaches you how to invest and save while you dont even realize it
I recommend to my friends all the time, it really is a great tool for set and forget investing. A great passive investing set for the masses, the app is great and looks great, and wish this firm continued success in building this out. Only recommendation is bring the fee component more central as part of the calculation even more transparently. I think as an investor Im fine with paying a fee for a service, but if you incorporate fees into the main screens or remind customers when they buy of the monthly fee and structure it will only serve to make customers appreciate that transparency. Its not hefty for the small investor, but if you set and forget you may lose track of the cost of investing too. Very important to get those reminders / have that awareness.
I have been using Acorn for about 8 months and I LOVE it!! Its incredible how quickly I am saving money. So simple to use and very easy to get your money when you need to withdraw. Highly recommend.
